What is the recommended distance from the ceiling to hang pictures? 24 inches?
Question:The room I'm hanging pictures in, the ceiling height is 9 ft.

We place ours at eye level as we are standing and looking at the picture.
I prefer pictures to be hung at the average eye level so they can be enjoyed.

8ft is normal ceiling and i think 18 inches to top of picture is fine so you can go like 2ft to 30 inches itll work
Don't measure from the ceiling - ceiling heights vary! It is most pleasing to the eye and will make the room look biggest if you hang your picture just slightly above eye level. Good luck!
don't hang pictures all at the same height, add visual appeal, and cluster in groups of odd numbers
If the images are large, I like to hang them so the top of the frame (or picture, if frameless) is level with the headers of doors and windows in the room. It just makes the space look a little more pulled together, and for larger pictures, it means the middle of the picture is right about eye height when standing.
