How do you paint a concrete floor correctly so it won't peel up?

The prep work is most imporant on this or any paint. The biggest issue is if the concrete is on grade (on the ground) then moisture will always cause delamination.
If it is or not get it good and clean then get a good concrete primer from the same place you get the paint so they are compatible. Apply the primer to the clean and dry floor and then follow that up with a good high grade epoxy paint. You will pay a bit more that for standard paint, but the long term fix will be worth the added cost. Epoxy is a bit trick to apply cause it dries quick so be sure you are ready and follow the instructions. good luck
It's very hard to do. But mostly the preparation is the most time consuming. You have to strip it really good. Then you have to wash it and clean it. Make sure you allow several days for it to dry. Then you have to seal it. Last you can paint it. But get the kind of paint that is made just for concrete floors. AT Lowes or Home Depot.
Get concrete paint and ask the people at Home Depot for tips.
Stain it rather then painting. Paint will chip after some time, where stain won't.

Instead of using regular concrete paint, go to a hardware store and rustoleum makes this epoxy stuff. It comes with one gallon of it and all of the cleaning stuff and applicators you need. It goes on really thick and is so hard when you are done, it will be more durable than regular concrete. It is about 30-$50 dollars a kit depending on what you get. Just make sure the surface is clean enough to seriously eat off of or else the paint wont stick.
