Ideas for art work in apartment [mural/collage] ?
Question:I am moving into an apartment where I can't paint the walls. I was thinking of covering a section/1 wall of my bedroom with either brown paper [like the grocery bag material], bulletin board paper or just pieces of poster board.
I have been trying to think of or find ideas of some kind of art work to do. Something more along the lines of abstract art, but nothing really complicated, just a splash of fun.
If you know of any ideas or websites which have neat looking ideas/art works please share! Thanks! :]

You can also use liquid starch to adhere fabric to the walls and remove it without a trace when you leave, to create art. You can make a collage of different fabric using inexpensive quilting squares or discount fabric that matches your decor. Simply soak the fabric in the liquid starch, use a credit card to smooth it on the wall and let it dry. You cannot use very heavy fabrics though.
Go to garage sales and pick up cheap frames, the bigger the better. Then go to a discount fabric store and pick out some awesome designs. Put the new fabric into the frames, and Voila - instant modern art.
You can find peel and stick murals at most of your home improvement stores. :)
You might want to go to the local art supply store and see how much blank canvases are.
1. Make what ever you want into a big picture but on 3 of them instead of one big one. Cut out part of picture to fit the size of each canvas. Something like different flowers in color or nightscapes with lots of lights in black & white. They are dramatic! Just use a decoupage over the pics to keep from tearing or getting color faded. Washable and durable when dried.
Having your color photos blown up, made into black & white and glued to the canvas is awsome. You can color some of the black & white pics of friends, family, or pets with the new scrapbooking coloring markers now to add some pizzaz for your personal taste and personality.
Old posters are a sure bet and inexpensive too.
