How to hold plexiglass which is hanging vertically as decorative on the ceiling?

Fishing wire. Carefully place masking tape where you want to make the holes (not too close to the corners or it will snap), drill in slowly and thread through fishing wire strong enough to hold the weight. Secure the fishing wire to the ceiling with cup hooks (if the ceiling is white use white ones to obsure them optically).

I've also done this wrapping copper or silver wire around the entire piece of plexi a couple of inches in from the edges and securing that to the ceiling.
