Does anyone have an idea how to decorate a teen girls bedroom?

Question:I'm trying to think of easy and cheap ideas on how to makeover my room. My mom won't let me paint it and i don't have quite enough money to buy a new bedspread and things like that. I was just wandering if there was anything like craft projects that would look good in my room. The walls are light pink and the current bedspread is a turquoise blue. Thanks in advance!

I have two boys...but on Better Homes and Gardens web site (www.bhg.com), I have seen they have ideas for teen girls bedrooms. Good Luck!

Well i think that you could maybe put some pictures of friends in frames on your wall or go to the dollar store if oyu guys have one and find some cute stuff im sure it will work out!!!

You can try a "shabby chic" theme, with vintage lamps, paintings, etc. and put up some mismatched candles (even if you can't burn them, they are still decorative). Also, colorful empty bottles lined up on a shelf or dresser or something can look very chic. Try putting an ad on your local freecycle.org website, and see what you can get. You might even get a new bedspread or something! Or, you can get different permanent markers and doodle on your walls. I used to write poems on my walls that really meant something to how I was feeling, and I had all my best friends outline their hand and put their name and b-day inside. Also, I would cut interesting things, like foods I liked, cool looking scenes and misc things out of magazines and newspapers and such, and I made a huge collage all over one of my walls, just by taping the things on there. I started with like a 3x3 inch area, and gradually just added more as I found new things that I liked, and eventually I had huge wall mural collage out of my own interests and whatnot. Try to keep only your most beloved childhood things and donate the rest to charity or have a yard sale, and you may even be able to find some shelving on the freecycle.org site, and then you can just put "teenage" types of nicknacks on the shelves, like pics of friends, memories of different things like first dance, etc... Good luck! I hope your room turns out to be as memorable as mine was!
