I have this chandelier (see link) & need some bedroom decorating tips...Plz!?
Question:So I got this great chandelier from Urban Outfitters.
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/...
I'm going to put it in the bedroom of my apartment that I'm moving into in July. I need some tips on what colors to use (I cant paint or paper the walls).
Like bedding? (I'm having a hard time thinking of a color for the bedding..)
Furniture? (black, metal, wood?)
I also would like to incorporate some feng shui methods because I'm a big believer in that. I am a single female 20 years old. I would like to promote love and a calm, comforting but romantic/sensual feeling in the bedroom. I know I'm going to be putting tons of candles... =)
Any tips/suggestions/etc would be appreciated!! Thanks!

How bout a faux canopy behind the bed? Just hang lengths of fabric from a curtain rod above your bed and drape over another rod spaced further down your bed. Or pinch it in the middle and let it swag like a tent over your bed.
There's great colors in there! You could use any of them in a deep/jewel tone satin spread, with another as an accent pillow (say the cranberry with orange pillows and sari fabric for the canopy in the green or blue - check ebay). Then a deep shaggy rug next to the bed in the same color as the pillows. A great chair in the corner with acent pillows. Sheer curtains in the blue or green.
Lots of directions you could go. But I would say if you want sensual/romantic in those colors than go for an Indian type theme. Lot of pillows, satins, sari fabrics, pillows on the floor, incense, things like that.
Or pick one color you really like and use it for the bedspread, curtains and rug, accent color for pillows and canopy.
Oh and a "wallpaper" tip -- if you choose you can starch the fabric to the wall. Here's how:
Pick your fabric (have never used sheer but it would be fun to try!), wash it well according to directions (especially the darker colors)
Dip in liquid starch or use a sponge dipped in it for larger portions enough to wet the fabric.
Apply to wall and smooth out with sponge. Let dry
Voila beautiful custom wall treatment! & the best part is if you want to change it or move you just wet it and it comes right off. And as long as you've washed your fabric prior to putting it up there shouldn't even be a mark! Maybe some starch to wipe off with a wet sponge but that's it! Trust me it works!
IF you did this you could starch up some really pretty sari fabric all the way around the walls, then a cream or chocolate rug, still jewel tones for the bed.
First - cute chandelier!
These are just some suggestions, so do with them what you wish. Maybe you could find a bed sheet set that is multicolored, but doesn't have TOO much color (it might make it feel crowded). Try to incorporate some of the colors in the chandelier to tie the two together. Maybe some dark or light reds (either would work) to bring in a somewhat romantic feeling, and light blues or greens to bring in the calm..How you would put it all together is totally up to you. Even a dark blue would work on red. Also, since you can't paint the walls, maybe you could look for some kind of cheap wall pictures to put up?
Hope you find what you're looking for, and good luck to you!
I would buy a solid chocolate colored beadspread so it doesn't compete with the light fixture, and then add some bright decorative pillows in the same hues as the chandelier. As for the furniture, go for something sleek & minimal. See link below. Also find some wall art that will pick up some of the colors in the chandelier.
