Question:Umm i need some help i am trying to design a room with black carpet and i am using the color red. but im am not sure what to do.

I think you have the beginnings of a beautiful dramatic room!
The black carpet may be difficult to keep clean, but if that's what you already have, then you can always break it up... (drawing your eye to a variety of things reduces the focus and you won't notice a fleck of lint or dust quite so much) Maybe try a bamboo rug with the same color border as your walls or even a nice print rug that you feel ties everything together.
As for the walls - as others have said, red can be intimidating - but don't let that prevent you from using it. It's only paint --- and if you don't like it, it can always be changed. But red can be a wonderful bold statement and it looks great with lots of white trim. I find the red room in my house to be one of my favorites - not at all disturbing - I can relax just fine there.:-)
Try going to Better Homes and Gardens website. They have tons of pictures of professionally decorated rooms - plenty with red walls.

Plus they have a feature on the site that allows you to play with paint color - I think it's called "color-a-room".
My guess is, when you're finished you'll have a really nice room. And contrary to what one might think, that really is a very versatile palette. You could go modern, retro, club, country, sex den, or "Eddie Bauer" with those colors - I think it's a great choice with plenty of opportunities to tweak a change here and there throughout the years.

If you're going to do red walls I'd skip the beige couches. Go for something intense like white, and keep your color palette warm--reds, oranges, maybe a little yellow.
Or, you could do the walls a lighter color, stick with the beige couches and do something mostly black/white.
Black carpets with hot red walls? sounds like you are decorating a plush bar or club. Hot red tend to add more intensity to the room and mixing it with black floor...it will intensify the intensity. have to agree with the last anwer...it will be very difficult to relax.
I think it would look nice, especially if you tie in the whole asian theme (symbols; red, black and gold, candles, bamboo, etc.). Just be warned, black carpet is going to get dusty very quickly.
DO NOT USE THE COLOR RED ON YOUR WALLS.. I mean like it would look pretty and all but when it came to the night OMG it is like death is surrounding you. You can try the color you like or the colors:BABY blue, white, thats all I know. WELL I STILL WISH THE BEST FOR YOU 2 DECIDED WHAT YOU WANT :) GOOD LUCK. try a room designer... >.<

dont go too crazy with the red. you room will feel very small with all the dark color. try painting only one wall red as an accent wall and use a light beige for the others. use more red in throw, pillows, vaces etc. to tie the room together.
it would look very retro, & dark... unless ur doing a midnight love nest. if u really want 2 use red, do it on only 1 wall. i also agree with the guy who said white couches. but after all, its ur place, u should do wht ur comfortable with.
I agree with earthgurl. If drama is what you are going for---that is perfect. I like your idea, but the red might tire your eyes after a bit.
