What are some color combinations to paint my room?
Question:my mom and i might paint a few rooms. what are some good color combinations? i have light tan carpet and most of my furniture is dark, i think the wood is cherry stained or something like that.

neutral greens would look good. it depends on your lighting sutuation. go to home depot or lowes and bring back a huge handful of color sample strips. now go home and tape them up on the wall and turn the lights on, look at them in the morning, afternoon, night etc and see how the color changes. its AMAZING. For neutral color tan carpet and dark furniture, i would go with a neutral taupe, or a neutral green ... it depends on your style really
use a color wheel. beige is a shade of brown, brown is made of yellow blue and red. if your furniture is cherry the predominant color is red. if you want the most dramatic effect use green. for a bedroom use calming shades like sage. however you are already using a neutral pallet you could use any color but Grey. be bold and have fun with your room.
