Any room redecorating ideas??
Question:I am redoing my room this summer. I really like modern looks, but don't want it to look cold. I like young (I'm almost 17), clean, neat, inviting, comfortable, and casual. But I'm on a budget. Oh, and I like blue. :) Thanks for any suggestions or links!!
Answers:
The best way to warm up blue is to add brown.Either with the furniture, floor, wood trim,or by painting modern accents on a wall or two or a combination of 2 or 3 of these.Brown and blue is a great look also. For your modern look use straight lines in furniture and accessories like photo frames. You could also do a solid color comfortor with some shades of blue and brown geometric designs or a wide brown trim to frame the comfortor's edges. You need to make the room clutter free with storage for most of your possessions.A little chrome or silver will add a touch of sparkle.Best wishes!
Go for simple black furniture, but make it look exciting with bright patterned and colored fabrics. For the walls, go for a simple robin's egg blue. Put a bonsai or a cottonwood branch in a vase and put it on an end table somewhere in your room. Put some simple photo frames on the walls.
Always check at the thrift stores and garage sales. You never know what treasures you can find to brighten up and room. An use your imagination. for instance a in table cover doenst have to cost a fortune. you can go to craft stores and cut your own fabric in any colour you desire. Make your own picture frames always adds a personal touch. if all else fails check out this site it helped me out a bunch.
