What color curtains should I use?
Question:I have chocolate colored slipcovers on my couches, with spice color pillows to match the hallway walls. The wall color in the living room is sort of a nutral tan. What color should I coordinate for the curtains?
Answers:
A tan or beige color
pink
tan
a creamish beach look!
I'd go to a chocolate pattern. OTHERWISE, pull off something completely different, like a deep teal!
It sounds like a deep red tone would work out nicely.
red or cream
a deep forest green silk or metalic fabric
Either spice or chocolate (or, if you can find it, curtains that have a spice & chocolate pattern) will work.
How about that blue aqua color that is getting popular..It always see it with dark browns...
blue, orange, deep red would probably be best. You might want to stay away from spice colored curtains because then you would have a lot of spice colors in that particular area.
Maybe a light brown, like a fluffy chocolate, or coffee
Creamy Tan Color would look wonderful
Well since you are into the earth tone colors, you could keep it that way with tans or even olive green.
what about a mixture of beige, brown, and a hint of dark orange? you can find fabric with all of these colors together and then a nice sheer choclate brown over top of this? OR nice tan curtains with light aqua marine colored sheers over top? Make sure to have SOME black in the room it will ground it properly.
Try to get a print with brown and either spice and/or tan, or add a green.
Then complement the colors with more pillows, lampshades/lamps, vases or knick-knacks, wall art, and plants.
Since everything you mention is each one color and not a pattern, I'd try to find a patterned material that has those colors in it, especially the chocolate brown and spice colors. Add a little turquoise maybe, in accent pieces.
I'm seeing a medium olive green...not something too light..yeah.
