What is the best color for a 12 year old girls' room?
Question:Mine is golden yellow... Bleck
Answers:
I just did my daughters room in green and pink polka dots - she is 12. I kept the white walls and just got the decals at Dollar Tree that are easily removable! We can change it in a heartbeat when she gets tired of it and they cost only about $20 - because we put them everywhere!
my sisters bedroom was light purple but that was
in the 1970s so I am sure styles have changed.
black
Black? Ew. I think light pink. Or just paint it white and let her decorate it with whatever she wants. like posters and stickers, so that it's just like the way she wants
Lilac and cream. its a good combination that shows shes growing up but still girly and it will still suit whether shes 12 or 18. its grows with you. and pine or beach wood furnture always looks good with it too :)

Bold bright colors are the rage now. Oranges, deep blues, fushia. The brighter the better...kinda like the 70's. Just stay away from depressing black.
I just gave this idea to a 16 year old, but I think it would work just as well for you.
Turquoise, lime green, or melon with stark white trim - any of these colors would be great backdrop for black & white accessories. Go to www.PBteen.com
A little more subtle? Try pale turquoise and cocoa (dark taupe, not dark brown). Visit www.crateandbarrel.com
The best color for a 12 year old girl's room is the color that makes her happiest. However, if you have bright decorations and you want them to stick out go with a neutral tan for your walls. If your room has a theme then go with a color that fits with the theme and makes you want to hangout in your room and not throw up every time you walk through the door.
id go with bright colors such as.. purple, orange, pink, blue. this seems to be all the rage. If you can do a mixture of all these colors, on a white background, a thick line at the top of wall and then be creative. and have lots of fun. whatever makes you happy!! ♪♫♪♫♪
I am guessing since you say that your room is a golden yellow, that you are the 12 year old girl.
So...What color do you like?
There are so many to choose from.
It is really hard to suggest a specific color because it really is up to your personal taste and what your parents will allow.
Just keep in mind, you probably won't get to paint it again for a long time, so be sure it is a color you really like and not a fad color. Also remember it is your bedroom, you want it to be a comfortable restful place, not too loud with color.
Look at color swatches in the paint stores. Try violets, lilac, pale blues or greens, or blue-greens.
If your parents will allow for a darker color then you could try russett, moss green, or a deep blue sky color. As I said it all depends on what you like and what your parents will allow.
I like to paint my ceiling the same color as my walls, if your wood work is natural, leave it alone, if not, try bright white for the wood work. I also like to use a satin finish paint rather than a flat paint, even an eggshell finish is better than flat.
Good luck,
