For the initial use I would just use some regular dish soap and some water. After that there are a few different types of cleaners you can use for the tops. They make a wipe for quick clean ups that are safe for it. They usually recommend you scrape anything cooked on off with a razor blade and then there is also a soft scrub made just for ceramic stoves to clean with once you have gotten all that off. You can find both of them at Walmart close to the Ajax. Good luck!
Clean it thoroughly with the ceramic stove top surface cleaner, then keep wiping with clean wet paper towels to remove all the residue. Do this each time you use it.
I have used Soft Scrub in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend it on a regular basis, as it could scratch the surface.
