My kitchen has dark brown cupboards I can't paint over. What wall colour would lighten it up?

I have dark cupboards myself. My light blue walls really brighten it up. Or you could paint white and have colorful accents throughout your kitchen. Pale yellows or mint greens would look good too.
I am not sure what wall color would work best - a light sea foam green, maybe - but you can always get new fronts only for your cupboards. You could get the glass face ones that would be really nice and would show your new matching color inside. It is relatively inexpensive and you can go to your local Home Depot or Lowes type of store with the measurements and they can assist you with the right ones as well as how much it would cost you. a light tan would give the room a bigger feel,even a craem.you can alway sand and restain your your cupboards.you can also paint 2 different colors {top&bottom}
and break them up with a border in the middle
