Best paint brand?
Question:Hello all!
I am wanting to paint over the half of my room that my sister painted pink (eww) when she still lived at home. I was wondering what is the best brand of paint that I could find at Home Depot.

their behr brand is the best. consumers report gives it number one. figure on two coats to cover pink with a normal light tone. i hate olympic. american traditions at lowes is great stuff too.
There are advisers there at Home Depot who would answer your question. I suppose it may make a difference whether you get a flat paint or a semi-gloss or a gloss. I would suggest that you look at the containers and see which brands had the most removed from the shelf. That would mean that brand is popular.
Behr. I love that stuff! That's the brand me and my family get when we paint and trust me, we've done a lot of that!

I like Ralph Lauren. They have really good colors, usually one coat is enough, and it doesn't stink. It's a little more expensive but to me it's worth it.
Hi, I like Glidden, and have used Glidden numerous times. There are many good paints besides Glidden of course, so I'm not trying to sell a particular brand to you. There is Bher, which I have had problems with , as well as my customers. Frazzee is good, Benjamin Moore, Dutch Boy are also very nice. I don't care for the designer paints such as Martha Stewart and others. To me just paying for a name. Glidden is down to earth, have been around a long time,and all they sell is a good quality paint,without all the bows and ribbons. Take home several samples of whatever you choose before making up your mind. Have fun,experiment with different color combinations! Bye

If you want to exclusively buy your paint at Home Depot, Behr would be the best paint to buy. Glidden comes in second. Ralph Lauren is manufactured by Glidden, so you can pretty much consider it the same thing with a higher price.
There is nothing wrong with Behr, but the best paint on the market is Benjamin Moore. Ben Moore is followed by Valspar, which is sold at Lowe's.
sikken s is a very good brand of paint
I am a painting contractor and agree with the last two posts,Benjamin Moore is the best,followed by Valspar,I use those two almost exclusivly and Sikkens has the best stain out there for exteriors so I assume their paint is pretty good as well.
