You have to buy special paint to do that and the best place that I know to purchase it is Lowe's, they have a section pretty much devoted to it.
You can probably try any paint/Home store. Most places that sell paint sell that sort of thing to achieve the different finishes - sponge, suede, leather look, metallic, etc
In a craft shop or maybe in a fabric shop.
You can try a craft store or someplace else where they sell art supplies.
try metal flake from your auto paint shop.They also make one called fairy dust. it puts off a mother of pearl glisten especially at night with candle light.
