How do you figure the area of a room as in square feet?

Measure the length of the room (in feet) and the width of the room (in feet). Multiply the length by the width and the answer is the area of the room in square feet. A room 10 feet long by 10 feet wide has an area of 100 square feet.


Multiply length by width.
Length times the width will give you square footage. Multiply by the height and you get cubic feet. (used for exhaust fan sizing)
multiply the lengh by the bredth (width) if in meters devide by 300, sorry and muiltyply by the height
