What is the best way to paint metel kitchen cabinets?

Question:I have some metel cabinets that I wish to repaint in my kitchen. I wish to know the best paint (oil or latex) , would you roll or spray, and are there any other methods that someone could suggest.

Answers:
Use spray on oil-base paint. The higher the gloss, the more durable and washable. Wipe it down first with denatured alcohol to remove possible grease from kitchen (and hand) to keep it from fish-eyeing. DO NOT use latex. It will peel EASILY off metal.

I would suggest getting a small vibrator sander and sand the cabinets down smooth then spray them with lacquer paint. note if you use lacquer paint get a filtered mask or spray them outside.
Step one - remove handles and sand them down completely to remove any rust and irregularities

Step two - clean them completely and tape up hinges if you aren't going to remove the doors

Step three - fill any holes or dents that wouldn't pop out with filler from Lowes

Step four - spray paint with a high quality paint that is made for metal - If these are indoors you may want to use regular paint because of overspray. If that is the case, make sure you get a small roller with lots of refills. Rollers leave a nice finish with no paint lines.
Use a spray primer and then a spray paint made for metals. If you want a glossy look then use a high gloss spray paint. Also use a top coat to protect the paint from being scratched. If you roll or brush paint on metal you will end up with brush marks. :)
