Fibre cement slate?
Question:will bricklaying motar bond with fibre cement slate?just want to place some on top of a small retaning wall wich is 2 coarses wide but has no capping stones on.

Fibre cement slates will go white-ish if left on the horizontal and water can't run off.

Yes, but not very strongly. Bed with mortar then, if the slates get knocked off, stick them back with epoxy.
