Is there sumthing i can add 2 paint 2 slow down drying time?
Question:i've used large rollers paint pads but i still see the lines of paint on the wall i am painting
Answers:
if its emulsion paint you can add a little bit of water and also try using a roller with a shorter pile if the surface you are painting is smooth..
no, you cant slow down drying, if you are geting lines try "rolling" them out, it well may be that your roller is overloaded, or you are using wrong texture roller for that paint.
are you using the paint neat? when using rollers etc you need to dilute the paint a little
There are 2 things that can be done. Basically soak the roller and drench the wall as much as possible without letting thier be drip lines but the paint will be smooth or add a SMALL amount of water to the paint. Water is one part of the paint that allows it to remain in liquid form to paint and then when exposed to the air all the water is pulled from it. hope fully this helps!
You may be applying the paint too thick. Make sure you are using the correct nap rollers for the type of paint you are using. good luck
In the U.S. theres a product called "acrylic retarder" if using water base, and linseed oil slow oils base, water just breaks down paint and speeds up drying, good luck
Either, or both.. the paint is too thick, or you are putting it on too heavily.
What is the finish of the paint? The more sheen the paint has, the harder it is to apply without roller lines. Use a short nap roller. Paint a section approx 3ft down the whole wall, this should take 2 fills for the roller. Then with the roller almost dry, go over that whole section, floor to ceiling very lightly to even out the texture. It's the texture that leaves the roller marks, not the dry time.
Good luck!
glaze. U may b pressing 2 hard w/ u'r roller. If so, u don't have enuff paint on it. paint in a "W" & fade out.
