How much should my friend expect to pay to have her 840 sq/ft apartment painted if she supplies paint?
Question:A friend of a friend gave her an estimate of $2500. That sounded a bit high to me. She is to supply the paint too. I don't know if the guy is licensed or if he even paints for a living. I told her to get other estimates.

ALWAYS a good idea to get estimates. Anyone can paint, but there is more to providing a service than just price. Stand behind their work, licensed, appearance, referrals, etc. Ask someone in her area who they used for painting?
In canada you can get a 3 room apt or house done for under $300 and that includes all materials and clean-up. @$100 a room. If your suppltin everything half of that.

dont listen to that drunken canadian I am a proffesional I charge 2$ a sq ft labor only, if empty ,more if it has furniture how much more depends on how much stuff is in there..Get multiple bids you don' t have to take the highest but NEVER take the lowest
