What color should I paint my bath room?
Question:I love the colors red and white, and I love stripes, but my mom thinks it would be to much like a candy cane? I also like baby blue with sunflowers...

Well either could work. Depends on the color of red you choose:
if you do bright red and white you could do a retro barbershop type theme. Red striped pole, vintage wallpaper (shaving scenes), that kind of thing.
Or do a claret red and white striped shower curtain with a red rug, white curtains with red trim, and white or red towels. Then add black and white favorite photos framed in black or silver.
Or paint the walls red up to chair rail height. Do a bright tone with a darker glaze or vice versa. Wood chair rail and fluffy white towels and curtains. Pick up the red in guest soaps, washclothes and art work.
Just know that you will need to add a little accent to tone it down a bit...Use more than one shade of red to complement each other.
Do a deep cherry with white & cream accents. Framed Sepia prints of shoes, shopping or famous landmarks. Girly stuff.
Try baby yellow. or lavender...
i painted mine a milk chocolate brown and I use pink towels its pretty
you could paint the walls white, but paint the biggest wall red and then pinstripe it with white. that would look pretty cute

Red and White ... So it don't look too much like a candy cane, use Black as boarders or outlines. The stripes can done 2-3 feet up the wall from the floor. If thats too much for the stripes, remember you can buy towles and cloths, even the shower curtin with the red and white stripes. Whatcha Think?
I like soft blues in the bathroom. We just did our boys' bathroom in a soft smoky blue with white wainscoting. It is beautiful and it feels clean (even when it isn't).
