What is the best filler for floorboards before sanding other than wood mixed with pva?

Dont fill before sanding , as pva or any other filler will gum up the sander .Sand first then fill with wood filler , to match what ever stain you use , or if natural to as near your sanded woods natural colour as possible , before sealing to protect from dirt ect hope this helps
