Any hardware store (lowes/Home Depot) will have what you need. As for color you're on your own. It really depends on what you like. Blues and greens for calming effects. Reds and yellows for more excitement.
try Dunn Edwards, or the ppl at Lowe's are always helpful try earth tones, two- tones and for God sakes stay away from completely white. try solid colors.

you cant rely go wrong with a neutral like brown coffee or light gray. But one of the best things to do is to look at an object that will be a centerpiece, go from that object.
