Breakfast bar support leg?

Question:We are currently redoing our kitchen and we are putting up a breakfast bar, we need a support leg but the largest i can find only goes up to 870mm we need at least 980mm, have checked where I can online, any ideas of where we can get?

Answers:
when i installed a breakfast bar in my old house i used a chrome clothes pole like you have in your wardrobe and used the fixing from the same, you can get them in long lengths and the tensile strength is high, i used to sit on it when it was supported by three poles and i am 15st

plus there cheaper

Get two- saw them in half, then join together. Solved.
Have you thought of going to your local timber yard?

Go to an engineer or a ironmonger, i'm sure they'd be able to make one to order.
have you tried b and q? i know they do sell them but not sure what length though.
We have a breakfast bar and didn't want legs in the way, so we used triangular shaped iron supports that secure to the underside of the bar and the vertical back wall of the bar Got them at home depot. Use a peice of 2x4 to raise the bar just about 1/2" higher than level and when you release the 2x4 it will settle to level.
A carpenter should be able to make what you want, that's what carpenters do, make things out of wood.
