What should I do with my room?

Question:My room is very plain I atleast think.
And I wanna do something more with it...so I'm asking what kind of projects should I do with it.
I wanna make it more relaxing and laid back but retro and fun too. Heres a couple of pics of it kinda but you cant really see...

I'm guessing that the less it costs t he better, so here are a few inexpensive suggestions.

you could go funky - make yourself a picture like the one in this link.

You could do your own matching curtains (fabric curtains would be a little more relaxing and softer) - using craft paint and fabric medium you could paint the same flowers on plain white curtains or sheets to be hung as curtains. you could do the same on a lampshade and also could create your own mobile...

You could find a small throw rug in one of the colors you use on the flowers -or even a funky bathmat.
