Beach centerpiece?
Question:New idea of beach table centerpiece
Answers:
First put a heavy fabric (like calico) tablecloth on the table, then pour sand directly onto the table in a wide strip down the centre if it's a rectangular table, or piled in the middle if it's round.Get attractive looking shells and bits of driftwood and place them strategically into the sand. Don't overdo it, remember, less is more.
Get some shortish stubby candles , glue little shells around the bottom and scatter these around the sand.
Half bury small vases into the sand and fill with white daisies and/or wild grasses. Dot these throughout your arrangement.
Use large shells with holes cut through them as napkin rings or wrap cutlery in napkin and tie untidily with rough twine with shells glued on ends.
Naturally, condiments, butter, dressings etc. should be arranged inside shells or shell-shaped dishes. Salt and pepper can be placed in small flat shells near each place setting.
Good colours for beachy table arrangements are white and sky blue, because they're fresh and will enhance the appetite.
glass bowl... lightly tinted.. w/ pebbles & seashells filled 1/4 way then put in actual seashells so some r sticking out of the water... then put tea lights in it lit.
If this is to b a on going centerpiece.. then u can drop the real water & tealights... put in that clear liquid that hardens to make it appear as everything is in water then for a bit diff. u can place tealights & light. U can get the clear liquid at any place that carrys lots of floral or does fake floral.
all these sound good! ... but lets add a little 'treasure chest'. Maybe to set the S&P in? If this is a party theme... put the little gold coins in it- and mardi gras beads. You can get ceramic palm trees. and even set up a cabana? Lounge chairs- Some of this you would find in the 'miniatures' dept of like HobbY LobbY or Michaels. If you used an old wooden tray... or shallow wicker basket- you can remove it from the table if you need the room. They even have tiny miniture lights- battery operated. Have fun... you can even do a santa on the beach for the holidays! lol
