I'm about to paint my room..I need help with chosing colors.?
Question:Hello everyone.
I'e decided to paint my white walls with color and I would like to do something creative with my room. I have a lot of orange accessories in my room, and my room is fairly large. I was wondering if anyone could help me or give me some suggestions on what colors to paint my room and any unique designs that i could use. (HINT: I would like to use more then one color, please let me know of any great websites for teenage rooms). I would greatly appreciate it.
I would prefer bright colors that match orange, purple, and pink. and if not please just give me some ideas! Thanks everyone!

Here's a cool site that has lots of different styles of bedrooms for teens.

Well I would suggest this order.
Primar(White)
Then put the base color which wil be a light orange.
Then put dark(still bright) orange stripes on each wall.
Then on he 2 largest walls put big cirlce in a very dark orange near the corner of the wall. To put some acent colors paint the ceiling orange and then splatter bright colros all over the ceiling. Then make sure you have mostly ornage assceories in your room with some acent assecories.
If you have a lot of orange accessories go with a blue. They are complimentary colors and always look nice together. Something else I always think looks cool is having one accent wall. Try painting one whole wall an insane color, like bright orange, and the other walls either a lighter shade of that color or a completely different color. You might want to head to home depot and check out the paint books. Lots of great ideas.
Go to Lowes in the paint department tell the employee what your looking for and they will help.
Depending on the size of your room, you could do a couple of things. You could paint a stripe of each of the colors
you like : orange, purple and pink. Make the orange the narrowest one, since you already have a lot of orange accessories. The stripe could go horizontally around the room, or just on 2 walls. I saw something like this on a decorating show where they were able to run the stripe across the doors as well. That depends on what the doors
look like; it looks best with flat doors. Look at HGTV.com
this sounds like a job for starburst, you know that chewy tart candy all of the colors you are suggesting are in a pack of them (either these or skittles will do) take these to your local Lowes or Home Depot paint department look for samples that match or ask the paint specialist there to match your faves. you could even use these candies as a theme.
taste the rainbow
there you go!~!
