I have six white 5x7 picture frames... what can i put in them for an intersting grouping in my entryway?
Question:they're all identical, from ikea. i have a lot of framed black and white prints in my apartment, but i don't wanna overdo it. the rest of the colors are a maroon red, gold, and dark brown in the areas the border on the entryway...

pictures of doors. Go around your area and take pictures of interesting doors. Especially in the historic part of town.
Pressed leaves - go for a walk and find ones that interest you. One in each frame - maybe two. Add a touch of green/nature.
You could press and dry some leaves (ferns work well), herbs, or flowers and display them under the glass.
Or you could display close up prints of different parts of your child/ husband / etc., e.g. feet, eyes, etc. This looks really cute with baby photos.
All the craft books I read state you should do things in odd numbers...so you may want to use 5 picture frames...I love black and white prints...which are fun poses..(like my niece getting bathed in a sink...with her soapy hair twisted straight up )..I also have a whole painting that my nephew did that I cut into equal pieces and framed separately to hang as a group..you could paint your chosen colours in lines (like they always do on trading spaces) and then cut the one picture to fit your frames...I would take 5 or 6 pictures of your favorite person or pet with the same background but an interesting or fun pose..even hang the middle ones upside down..it would make people smile when they entered your place.
Take some snapshots of your home's special areas that you really love.Try to get them in all of the colors that are in your home.Maybe one of the front door or yard also.Enlarge and frame those.It will be unique and add a personal touch. You can also take one special pic (baby,dog,cat,a special antique,or the room you tend to live in the most)and make it in all the dif colors that are in your home.Frame them for your entry.Best wishes!

2] add cut-out mats, and make collages of family, friends, school, vacations, etc.
3] frame pages from a favorite calender
4] frame 'dream house' blueprints
5] favorite fashion designs
6] what are your interests? traveling - pix of places to go; skiing -pix of great slopes, scuba diving - great diving sites; etc.
They are from Ikea . who cares , a box would be best . To many pictures makes a place look crowded. sometimes less is more. You don`t want to OVER DO it.
