Carpet Panels?

Question:If one were doing a small room, do these carpet panels actually do the job? They are advertised as looking the same as wall-to-wall laid carpet. How easy are they to install? For someone who has not ever done it? And is it really a good idea?

these are great... I used them before... i selected a texture pattern, and alternated the tiles sort of checkerboard... was very pleased...

later i got a puppy who was prone to 'accidents' just popped the damaged panel out and put in a new one... make sure you get a couple of extras just in case
