What color should I paint my bedroom?
Question:I want something muted and calming. So any cool color with some grey in it or any neutral color would be nice. If you've painted a room in your house a color that might tickle my fancy, can you tell me the name of it and what brand you used? I'm thinking of some kind of blue or grey color. Maybe a light almond or wheat? Don't worry about bedding and curtains because I'll be working with the paint color to find something nice.
Answers:
I used Glidden's "Dapper Tan" from The Home Depot.
I would go with a very pale lavender grey.
Mild blue and dim light will be good (to show your love with your partner)
I've always been fond of creams and beige...I find those sorts of colours calming and its easy to work with, in terms of furnishings and style, in that, it goes fine in both aged and contemporary looking rooms. If you wanted, you could add some grey in there somewhere...Say, you paint the walls light cream, then have a thin light grey strip bordering the walls at the top and maybe have the same done at the bottom.
how about light blue, with some fancy decorations or shades of yr favourite colour. tht may luk nice, maybe
A very serene palate is all white with touches of icy blue.
Light wheat is pretty too - again I would go with all white curtains and bedding.
Try going to the "color visualizer" at Sherwin Williams. They have a great color called "Tradewind" that you might like (I have no personal experience with it).
My fav color right now is the Restoration Hardware's "Silver Sage". I painted my guest room that color & it's beautiful! RH also have several other colors, including a wonderful "Atmosphere Blue" & some creamy colors. I took the paint sample to our local Kelly Moore store & they mixed the paint for about half the price.
