3D Home Architect 4.0 question?

Question:Hi, I bought this neat little proggy at a garage sale for 5 bucks. I thought it would be crap, but I dunno, I just bought it.
It's really pretty neat. In less than an hour I had a house drawn up. I mean its simple and has lots of mistakes but, a first ever try. So,
.. Heres the question. I want to change the scenery to a pic of my own. I've added it to the list of backdrops. I've selected it, but the backdrop never changes. Even after reboots. How is this done?

Answers:
While I have not used the same software that you have on your computer, a couple of things come to mind.

The first has to do with the software program instructions. I'm guessing that you did not get any kind of manual with the installation disk. It might be possible to go to the manufacturer's website and download a PDF version of it. Their site also may have a user forum where you can post questions to other users of the software.

As far as the image you are trying to use as a backdrop is concerned, I'm betting that it is a matter of the file format of your saved image. You might want to try converting it to another type of file and see if that works. For instance, you might want to convert a j-peg (.jpg) file to a bitmap (.bmp) file and then try using it as a backdrop. You may also have to play with the resolution of your image. These are the kind of things a manual or help screen should advise you on.

Good luck with your design projects.
