Removing Glitter Paint from wall?

Question:So my g/f got the bright idea to paint our bathroom walls with clear paint and gold glitter. At first she mixed the two together but the glitter was clumping together so she started painting the walls and tossing glitter on the wall. Suffice to say, she did not like the way it came out and wants to strip the walls. The walls are drywall and I attempted to sand them but that is not working too well. Anyone have a better method to remove the gold glitter so we can paint the bathroom a normal color?

Answers:
I think you're going to eithe have to get some paint remover or go over the walls with 2 coats of Kilz primer.

haha good luck-just paint over it
