Help for Remodeling my room!!?
Question:I want to remodel my room. Could you give me some ideas? I want to paint my room gold and silver. What are some good tips to make my room look big, artsy, and a good place for yourself?

just gold and silver? u might want to add another color to soothe your eyes everyonce and a while. maybe a deep red or blue or something. dunno, its your room. well, here are my ideas.
those little lights (sorry, don't know a name), kinda like xmas lights but you can put them just about anywhere (curtains maybe)
floor pillows (nice place to hang out w/ friends)
beaded curtains (not for your window, but for your wall)
i've also seen this: you staple a bunch of ribbon in stripes down your wall, and then you hang a big square mirror (without any edge) sideways like a diamond in th emiddle. then you takc on anything you want on the rest of the ribbons (smaller mirrors, pics, etc.)
oh, and flowers are good too. maybe get one of those wall hanging vases or just put them on a nightstand. maybe fake flowers would work best. i've seen glass flowers before and those are pretty. darker colors will give it a more mature look, brighter will head in the more youthful? direction

get a wooden loft.. pant it silver and gold...it will make your room look big because your bed is off the floor so you will have more room. it willl look artsy because it is original and fun. and it will be a good place because its fun to lounge in and a great place to hang.
I have practically the big artsy room.
What I did is stick with cool colors.
They calm your muscles and make the room appear bigger than any other color would.
Also what I did to appear artsy was I drew puictures with cool colors and they're so calm :)
Pictures and art always make a good room . Also with those colors I would throw in a little black to make the room bold like pictures with black frames a black gold and silver comforter things to that sort.
Paint the walls a pale gold, add an accent wall to give your room flair and make it appear bigger...paint the wall your headboard is against a deeper gold with a gold and silver leaf faux finish by ragging or sponging...similar to this wall, http://www.weknowfaux.com/images/graphic...

Use rich colors (red and black go very well with gold and silver) for bedding, pillows, curtains and an accent rug, add accessories with gold or silver leafing on picture and mirror frames, decorative lamps, you could also stencil a gold leaf vine border.
