Keeping room cool??

Question:I have A/C in my apartment but it doesn't reach my daughter's bedroom. We can't install a window air conditioner. What are some ways, other than leaving a fan running all night indirectly in her room, to keep her cool? She's 22 months and wears only a onesie to bed.

Answers:
You could try a cool bath before bed. We were in the same situation when our daughter was little and we ended having to break down and buy a free standing portable air-conditioner. Fact is, a hot child is a cranky child and they seem to not sleep well when they are too warm. They cost a little bit more money but we found that a good nights sleep was sooo worth it :)

if this is always like this maybe the vents need to get cleaned . You could put a bigger fan in the hallway that will pull the air to the baby's room . But could be to dangerous for the little one . If you are renting then you need to tell the landlord, that he needs to fix this !
You could try a room dehumidifier, as long a you don't let the air get too dry. They are small quiet and not too costly.
Do you have a fan near the air conditioner so that it will circulate the air throughout the apartment
I know it sounds Tacky but it works, aluminum foil her window.
I am in Portland Or. and do not have A/C, I foil the upstairs hall window that gets the high afternoon and evening sun. This has really cut down on the heat radiating through the house. If that does not work, I would probably move her bed to a cooler part of the house for the hot nights.
Just a thought are your drapes made from a heavy material? Maybe lighter drapes if this the case. Leaving the window opened a little for a little cool night air.
this is what I do. if you have a box fan, put that at the beginning of your hallway so that the cool air is sucked from the living room down the hallway into the bedrooms. If you have an oscolating fan, point that towards her room and let it do it's thing (move side to side) that will move the air around and blow air in her room. if you don't mind having so many fans going at the same time, I would also put a small fan in her room to move that air around too. I works really well. in our apartment the living room, dining and kitchen get freezing cold, but the bedrooms are always still so warm. Until I started doing this, their rooms were so uncomfortable, now it's much better! I would also recommend for cooler nights a window vent. It's one of those things you put in the window that sucks cooler air in w/o the hassel of a fan. good luck & stay cool!
why not as the technician to upgrade ur AC .. get bigger PC so slowly the cool air will reach to ur daughter's room ...

i hope it works...
