I have just painted a room by mixing 3 colours together?
Question:a dark pink, cream, and white to make a light pink ,now i cant afford to purchase borders because there so expensive ,what can i use instead ,yet look right .
Answers:
Borders are very out of fashion now, as are stencils - I really wouldn't recommend adding them at all, as they will date the room terribly.
White goes with everything.
make your own stencil with a sheet of laminate and a scalpel. Use hairspray to adhere it to the wall slightly so it doesn't slip!
get a roll of wallpaper with lines and design and cut along the line's to make a border , done it many time's
Stenciling is a great inexpensive way to also decorate.
But try some of the companies in the web that specialize in close out or small lot discounters of wallpaper border.

I have personally bought from both of these websites.
good luck!
borders are out now, so leave it as it is. Or if you must have something, then if you have any dark pink left mix it abit lighter, and paint some stencil pictures on the wall.
If you have any of the colors left, you could make a stripe of each color around the room. I have also seen some beautiful ideas from "Donna Dewberry"
Stampers at home depot, Lowe's, or Michael's.
Get some medium wide masking tape, tape it on the wall in two or three straight lines across the wall, leaving a gap between each strip. Then choose contrasting colours and paint in between the gaps (different colours in each if you wish). When dry strip off masking tape and you will have a horizontal line effect which looks quite trendy and one which you could co-ordinate with by buying cushions, light fittings, rugs, etc.
Sounds pretty good without borders, don!t ruin it so leave it.
Have a look in the bargain bin or whats on sale.most DIY shops have them. or the second hand shops.x
go to your closest reclaimed timber place you can get realy cheep daydo rails, cheaper than paper borders belive it or not and they look loads smarter
