How long do you use a particular bedding style?
Question:My wife and i have had the same comforter/bedding set/style for several years now. we are getting kinda tired of it but I feel as though we havent gotten enough use out of it compared to what we paid. how often does the average person buy a new bedding ensomble?

Same comforter set? or style? Styles change and it depends on your tastes and decor (these change too). Comforter set? I change them often. As often as my moods change. Colors too. Whether you paid a lot of money or not. You can always come back to use them again so you will definitely get your money's worth. I have a cousin who is a bed set/linen queen. She's always purchasing them. She has a huge collection and loves to change them quite often.
I buy one every 5 years or so. But then again, I love decorating. A local womans charity would love to have your old set, especially charities that cater to families of domestic violence.
Probably about 5-7 years. But even if you paid $200.00 for it and its been 5 years - that's $40.00 a year. Not bad really.
If you are getting tired of it, I say look for something new. Check out clearance, outlet and holiday sales. Some stores have white sales throughout the year (like JC Penney and Macy's), so I'm sure you can find something that you not only like, but that is reasonably priced.

IT REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH STORAGE U HAVE IN YOUR HOME. U CAN TRY EVERY HOLIDAY OR EVERY SEASON. THAT WAY U CAN REALLY USE ALL YOUR COMFORTERS UNTIL THEY NO LONGER WORK. JUST AN IDEA. GOOD LUCK.
We've been together 5 years and we got style 2 last summer for our anniversary "cotton anniversary". I would say not more than 3 or 4 years. It gets boring fast. Ours was falling apart. I guess it depends on how much you pay for it too. I pick up bed in a bags for under $120 for all. If your spending $300+ I would say stick it out for all it's worth! (fading etc)
