Get a bunch of old records& hang them on your walls.

Use bean bag chairs, hang beads in the doorways, use blacklights and strobe lights, get a lava lamp, old rock posters, burn incense, and be cool!
from each wall you can create a timeline..
like on the first wall you can have a 70's theme with the tye-die paint and bell-bottoms and afros and stuff like that
then the next wall can have a 80's theme with all the rock-bands, Michael Jackson, Prince..put some of the 80's fasions like the spandex, wild hair....whatever... look up 80's fashions and trends for more inspiration
then the next wall can be a 90's theme with all the events and albums.look up the decade for more ideas
and as for the current era we're living inhe 2000's...shouldn't be hard to decorate that now should it..there is so much stuff that went down in just the past 7 years of the decade
you can also try getting posters of artists that we're popular during those decades to spice up the theme
Ebay, or JC Penny's. You can find lots of good stuff at flea markets too, then just spruce them up with a correct paint job and BAM! good as new (mostly cheaper too).
