Redecorating my room to make more functional - I need ALOT of storage for me and display area for many "pets"
Question:I have a small space so I'm trying to think wall storage and vertical as much as possible...so far I have a loft bed with a office area on top and my bedroom on the bottom, under the bed I'll keep rubbermaids for my clothes as an alternative to a dresser. I have a fish tank stand that holds a ten gallon on top and a five gallon on bottom. I've decided to put a glass door on my closet and make shelves in there for my hamster cages and a curtain across the bottom shelves which will store food and whatnots for the animals. I have a cat who has a large cat tree this I plan to put by a window. I would like to get house plants to hang from the ceiling and basically my question is this: any suggestions on maximizing space? (please note I'm in a house now, but in a few months I'll be moving into a studio apartment where one room will have to be bedroom office kitchen dining and living room (obviously the bathroom will be its own)
thanks for your in-put I greatly appreciate it
Answers:
You could try built in shelves covered by curtains, and even building a pet cage/unit into a bookself or standing shelf unit.
You could also try stacking dressers/rubbermaid containers in the closet spaces w/labels on the outside for easy access.
Apart from that...I'm not sure. I don't know how much stuff/space we're talking about.
wow ! I would have to see the set up of the room !
