What's the market value of roughcut Wormy Chestnut lumber?

Question:I have a small stack of wormy chestnut lumber. Approx. 6" wide, various lengths from about 2' to 5'. Just want to get an idea of what I might get for it. What could I expect per board foot? I'd say there's enough to make a nice sized cabinet.

Answers:
It all depends how you market it.

Sell it as planks and get one price.

Cut it into 1.5" x 1.5" by 6" blocks of wood and sell it to pen turners for a higher profit margin and more units.

id say around 2 to 3 dollars a board foot
more like 6-7 dollars a board foot for that wood...
