Is white board marker safe for children?
Question:I have a four year kid, I wanted to know if the general markers (not the permanent ones) are safe for children? I am trying to avoid the chalk board as I feel white board is much better. Also what size you think would be ok right now for her?
Answers:
Today, kids would stuff anything they can find in their little mouths. The best way you can avoid her getting sick is buying 'non-toxic' markers. They are water based markers which come off easily and wont harm the child. But please, make sure you read the labels cafefully before handing them to your child. I'm sure you don't want to make a stuff up.
To me, personally, chalk is always the way to go because you can easily clean the mess a 4yo makes than markers. Well that was what my mother keeps telling me.
The right side board is determined in the amount your child will use it. To be safe, get her a 2ft x 2ft one as usually they are the sizes in preschools and kindergarten classes.
Hope this helps.
NB: Always remember to look for signs such as "water based" "not toxic" "safe for childern".
