I have just had a look at a website for flats in Whitely Bay and all it had was a room in a house share for - get this - £110 A WEEK!. Me thinks someone is taking the p i s s.
Ring the local council, they will have 1 bed flats to rent at a reasonable rate, and not all in rough areas.
