it really depends.. don't limit yourself though! All that you need to do is find a non-vitreous tile,(one that absorbs under a certain amount of water) there are many options... you can get Pavers, which have been done to death.. or the current trend is doing a slate tile or even a slate look porcelain. quarry tiles are good for outside applications but probably need to be sealed. any regular ceramic tile will work as well, the main concern is to use an outdoor grade mortar as this is the life of the tile. another concern is to get a tile with some texture so as not to become slippery when wet
use and outdoor tile, consult some one at a hradware stor liek lowes or hope depot , or go to a tile specialty store.
