I need advice concerning laminate flooring installation?
Question:Is it easy or should I hire a proffessional installer?
best type of laminate flooring.
Answers:
Having installed several brands I have come to the conclusion
that you might need a professional if: (1) you can't cut curves
and your floor has some, (2) You can't finish the edges and they
are not under a trim board. Most installations are not hard and
you can do 95% yourself with no problem. A finish nailer is much easier to use on the trim board than a hammer. They are powered by compressed air or electric power. Mostly, the new
installer is just afraid of what they do not know - try doing a few
rows and you will see how simple it is.
Laminate is easy to install!! Read the instructions on the package carefully. Buy or rent a good mitre saw. take your time. You can do it by yourself but it is a lot faster if there are two of you! Don't buy any laminate less than 8mm. I used 12mm.
fit it your self it is easy there is a floor system called click&tap so you can click it together and also hammer together for tight spots if you cut the bottoms of your door frames off and run the floor just under the edge that looks better and dont forget the gap arround the edge of the room you will be fine
dont go for the cheapest floor
and get the propper underlay
