Bay window blind options?
Question:I have a bay window in my computer room (see pictures below) that the previous owners installed mini blinds in. As you can see from the pictures, they are falling apart and need to be replaced. Because of the molding around the window it seems that they had to cut a 'nitch' to get the blinds to fit on the two end windows.
The window is on the second story of my home and faces West, so there is a big problem in the afternoons with too much sunlight and heat coming in. The mini blinds also let in a lot of light from the corners because of the way they have to fit in the window.
I would love to get wood or faux wood blinds but there is just no way the headers of the ones I've seen will fit in there. Does anyone have any suggestions for other options or am I just stuck with mini blinds?

Some suggestions: What about the bamboo blinds, but you might consider what they would look like from the outside.
I think even walmart.com now sells custom order faux wood blinds and I don't know why the depth of them wouldn't work, it looks like there is plenty of room. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.g...
Another really inexpensive idea are the "temporary blinds" they sell in the bedding section at walmart, they are just a pleated fold thick paper type material that have an adhesive applied to the top edge so you can adhere directly to the top window seal. They are like 3.99 but honestly I like the way they look and there isn't any reason you couldn't find a more permanent way to mount them.
