We started up 2 and a half years ago. We advertise in local free papers. Also had fliers made, when we get a bit slack we pick an area and drop a few in boxes. Get business cards made, these are essential, if you have a happy customer leave them 2/3 to pass on to family/friends. Also get a good sign on your van. We get a lot of business by just driving around.
Now we get a lot of work by word of mouth, and other jobs from clients that have been pleased with work we have already done. I wouldnt bother with yellow pages, expensive.
Good luck, it has been worth it for us, and its great being self employed. Feel free to email if we can help
try either the job centre or the yellow pages
Yellow Pages usually
advertise in your local newspaper/shop windows ect..
Also if you are any good word of mouth is the best kind of advertising ever.
Good luck!!
Well I tend to go for word of mouth. If you are a good honest hard worker then you should have no problems as word will soon get around . Good luck.
checkatrade they vet you and put you on a database and yellowpages
Dulux & Crown Paints have their endorsed painters & decorators
