Do "full/queen" size sheets fit dorm room beds?
Question:I cant find anywhere that sells dorm length sheets except delias- and i would like to have more than one option. There are some sheets that I like that only come in full and king size. Would the full sheets still fit my dorm matress??
Answers:
If you tuck it in properly, you can manage.
depends on the bed but will more than likely be to big. this is what my daughter tells me anyway, she just staRTED her upward bound program this week.
Full/Queen would likely be WAY too big. Dorm room beds are usually "Twin" size.
full and queen sheets won't fit. you'll have to get twin or twin extra long sheets. try bed bath & beyond, pottery barn teen, or target.
They dont exactly fit, but you can always tuck the ends under.. no one will know but you.
No, you need to purchase long twin sheets. Make sure they are labeled "long". You can find sheets which are made to fit the longer beds that colleges have. The width of the dorm mattress is the same as a typical twin. It is the length that is different. Good luck at college!!
Just get twin sized...
Sheets nowadays are made for thick mattresses, and dorm mattresses aren't all that thick, so you shuld have plenty of room for the long twin bed.
I found that Martha Stewart sheets from Kmart were the best fitting.
Full/Queen?
Okay, Full Size sheets are drastically different from Queen Size!! Queen is muchhh bigger.
Maybe you get Full Size to fit if you really tuck them in, but you're better off going with Twin XL. (Twin Extra Long). That's the standard size for dorm room beds.
Hit Bed, Bath, and Beyond to find some cute ones on sale. You can get them for like 5 dollars there. ;)
Most dorm room have beds that are Long Twin Mattress Size: 39" x 80".
A Full Mattress Size (Double) is : 54" x 75"
A Queen Mattress Size is : 60" x 80"
