How do I remove wallpaper from horsehair plaster?

Question:The wallpaper in my bedroom has been up for 37 years and it's TERRIBLE! I'd like to take it down, but the walls in the room are all horsehair plaster and I've heard they crumble easily. I live in an apartment, so I don't want to spend the money to drywall the whole room if I can avoid it. Is there a way to remove the paper without causing severe damage to the walls?

Answers:
You just need a good steamer. You can rent one from a home improvement center.

To prevent crumbling, make sure the bond between paper and plaster has been fully dissolved.

Would try steam,Try a little piece,if it works satisfactorily. Then you an hire a steam gun and comlete job
