Try painting the room a light version of one of your favorite colors, with the alternate color as your accent color. For example, if you chose blue, try a light to medium shade and use yellow as the accent, like a yellow throw rug or some sheer curtains. Find some prints/posters of friends and performances that you enjoy and build a wall of your pictures. If you want to use all black and white prints, try keeping the frames the same color (usually a solid), but vary the sizes and make a great collage. I would recommend the sheer curtains though, because they add such a light feminine touch to a room, especially if you could find a way to place a seat nearby, to read or study. Have fun with your room!
You could frame large theatrical posters, those would look great on either a yellow or blue wall, or yellow and blue done in oversized diamonds (harlequin pattern). You can find great poster frames at walmart or ikea. What about some black & white pics of you and your friends, done in a vintage broadway style, easy & fun to do in an afternoon, even try a few fancy old dresses/costume jewelry from each others closets or a thrift/second hand shop. Also how about dramatic velvet curtains like they have at the theater?

Sounds like you like drama!
1. If your parents will allow you to, I would suggest painting the walls a dark blue, wait for it to dry, and sponge over with a slightly lighter blue.
2. In the theatre, it's all about the lighting. Get some great chandelier type lighting.

3. Black and white photography, no matter what the subject, always looks awesome when you group them together, mix in theatre posters for fun!
4. For bedding I would go yellow, golds, oranges and reds. Again, it's all about the drama and the theatre!

whatever you do, remember to have fun!
My idea, paint the ceiling yellow and the walls blue and to hang black and white pics of movie stars.or you could paint the walls black and dip a feather duster in yellow paint and slap the wall with it,I like the different things you can see on the wall, but I still like the yellow on the ceiling, your only 16 once
I'll let you figure you the room color.
Keep wood floor with a throw rug by bed.
Part of one wall, have a red ceiling to floor curtain and drawn by on both ends with theatre type cord. In the middle of the drawn back curtain sides put a picture:
Have pictures of you posing with a hat, in a theatrical costume. Have the picture blown up & left in black & white.
You now have you - - on stage.
