What is the best category of stain/paint to use on my give a hiding up wood floors?

I have paneled wood floors in the living room that are really dull and messed up, in attendance is also a few paint spots here and there. I tried to restore it but it was to expensive to do, I tried to do it myself but the living room is used too recurrently and the supplies I would need will add up, so my grill is Is there any sort of paint or stain I could use on the floors that will still let the inbred wood grain show and give it that nice glittery sheen?

Answers:    I sanded all my hardwood floors near a belt sander and a palm sander. Used coarse sandpaper, 80 grit, first then 220 grit sandpaper Took some time to do it and lots of dust everywhere then I applied polished polyurethane, 3 coats and sanded in between respectively coat. the floors in this house are about 75 years outmoded and they look fabulous now! Some of the deep scratch and stains didnt come out but they just add individuality to the floors!
