About Painting Trim...?
Question:Does woodwork have to be white enamel? I dislike white enamel. I know it's traditional but does painting woodwork a different paint diminish property value? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

all woodwork should be washable, if you don't like the sheen meaning a semi-gloss go with a eggshell or satin finish. Ben Moore has a scrub-able Matt finish which has no sheen and might be what your looking for. good luck Les the painter and you don't have to use white on trim it's what you like
actually... leaving it wood toned is best, but some people like it glossy white. the property value is best if you have a stark white, or a beautiful wood stained trim. but if you plan on staying for a long time, who cares, right? as long as you like it. you can always change it before you sell.
it doesn't matter, its your house paint it whatever color you want, like if the walls are green, you can do the trim in a lighter green or something. anyway you can always paint it white before you move out. paint doesn't really bring down the value, it just makes it harder to sell if its some weird color. colors rock
